My wife was kind enough to be both my model and 2nd photographer last night as I was playing with some new equipment. In my head I had shots of Martin Schoeller's famous "Big Heads" (see what I'm talking about here). I know it's not identical (looking at his again I see the shallow DOF, the two softboxes he was using, the hi-key background, etc). Maybe one day I'll try to duplicate his methods more acurately. Either way, I really like the type of portrait and have a desire to do this with all of my family members - to remember what we looked like with a little more detail.
